If 2020 was the “lost year” for travel, will 2021 be the year of recovery? And if it is, what does that actually mean for you? Many signs point to a quick rebound for travel in 2021. For many, that will be because we will be making up for missed travel in 2020!

At Mont Blanc Treks, we know that were fortunate to be able to run a few guided group and self-guided treks in the summer and early autumn of 2020. Therefore, we are fortunate enough to already have experience in operating COVID-safe treks, which were both fun relaxing walking holidays for our Clients.

Because we are based in the Alps, running successful trekking holidays is probably easier for Mont Blanc Treks than for other tour operators. We personally know each and every operator that we work with, from baggage handlers to the hotels and Mountain refuges.

We worked hard with them last year to meet the new requirements for safe travel and accommodation and have been in contact with them again in the last few weeks to ensure that our trekking holidays this year will be receive the same high standards we managed to attain during the coronavirus pandemic last year.

With the vaccine being rolled out at speed in the UK and USA and the EU roadmap for the gradual lifting of restrictions on target, we think that international will commence from the early summer onwards and are ready to run a variety of treks across the Alps and the Dolomites.

Americans plan to take more leisure trips in 2021 than they did in 2019 or 2020. UK flight providers have reported a surge in bookings of 337% and we already saw a huge rise in people from within the EU travelling more locally last year.

And we are ready to welcome you.
