The Benefits of Walking Your Way
Your walking holiday - your way. Families often require revised itineraries. People with disabilities need to be catered for. Not everyone wants the exertion of a grade 7, full day hike. More and more we are welcoming people who want to relax and enjoy the tranquillity of the mountains, but perhaps for a few hours during the day and often without the steep lengthy climbs that are part of a traditional trekking holiday. Sometimes our clients simply know exactly what they want - but need our help to ensure their dream becomes reality.
-
Trek Dates: There are no set dates that you are tied to. You can walk in the Alpine mountains from April to October, depending on which type of trek you are looking for.
-
Trek Duration: You decide the length of your holiday. You may have only a long weekend to spend in the mountains or prefer to take your time in this wonderful area and experience the highlights of the Alps over a couple of weeks, you decide.
-
Trek Location: You can choose… Zermatt in Switzerland, Courmayeur in Italy or Chamonix Mont Blanc in France. You may even decide that you want to combine locations, depending on the length of your trip.
-
Trek Accommodation: With this holiday you have the security of knowing exactly where you will be staying each night. You can have the same accommodation for the entire vacation, enjoying each day on the mountains looking forward to returning “home” each evening.
-
Trek Food: If you have special dietary requirements you can have this all sorted for your entire vacation before you even start out on the hiking trails.
-
Trek Fitness: If you don’t feel ready to hike the entirety of the Tour of Mont Blanc, you can still sample the wonder of hiking in the mountains and simply do parts of the famous hiking trail. Or if you would love to hike across the Swiss, Italian and French Alps but are not sure that the Tour de Monte Rosa or the Walkers Haute Route are for you, this can still be arranged. Daily, with all the organisation done for you – you simply show up and enjoy. Therefore, if you have always dreamed of embarking on a "once in a lifetime" high mountain trek, you can come on holiday to the Alps to train and reach the fitness level needed to take on a multi-day hike!
-
Family Treks: Groups of different fitness levels and families especially enjoy this type of holiday. We arrange day-hikes for those that want to, and the base-camps are actually gorgeous Alpine villages with plenty of attractions for those in the group that aren’t hiking each day.
-
Health: It’s an extra safety measure with regards to Covid-19 as these walking holidays are designed so that you remain in the same “bubble” all vacation. Same room, same hotel, and same group out on the mountains.
-
Luggage on your trek: There is no need to carry heavy backpacks, as you will keep the bulk or your gear “at home” in your accommodation.
