Our first guided Walkers Haute Route is out on the trail, they tackled the high section from Le Chable to Arolla over the weekend. Here is what Gary our guide had to say...

I took the train at Sembrancher to Le Chable, gives a bit more time for lunch at Le Chable before getting the 1.20pm bus to Fionnay. The section of road is still closed so takes 45 mins to walk buses.

On the trail from the Cabane de Louve to Cabane de Prafleuri the snow is all soft, there's still a tricky descent off the step to the lakes before the final climb to Prafleuri. I had 2 of the group on a couple of slings and axe belay, but it's fine for a competent group.
