We have hiked in many parts of the world, but ultimately, we have no fear in stating that the stunning Chamonix Valley must rank as one of the world's best places for a trekking holiday.

Chamonix Mont Blanc

Chamonix sits 1042m (3,396 ft) above sea level, at the heart of Western Europe in the French Alps, very close to Mount Dolent where the French, Swiss and Italian borders meet. At ground level, it stretches over 30km (c19 miles) - from Servoz to Barberine on the Swiss border and is topped with sharp granite spires, blue-grey glaciers, and sparkling snowy peaks. Glittering above them all is the dome of Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in the Alps, rising 4,808 m (15,774 ft) above sea level.

Chamonix Trekking Holidays

With over 350km of hiking trails, our bespoke Chamonix trekking holidays allow you to hike on many of the more remote treks in the Mont Blanc massif, avoiding the sometimes crowded more easily accessed hiking trails. Chamonix trekking holidays with Mont Blanc Treks guarantee you the most spectacular vistas above the valley floors. You can explore hidden valleys, remote Impasses and generally walk a path less travelled...Your qualified trekking guide (UIMLA qualified), has vast local knowledge and is on hand not only to keep you safe, but to tailor your experience and make sure that you get the most out of your walking holiday in the Chamonix Valley.

Chamonix Hiking Trails

Trekking in the Mont Blanc massif can be unforgiving and steep in many places, with healthy elevation gain and losses each day - even compared to other Alpine regions. There is also a high chance of crossing some snow. The difficulty of the terrain is exciting even for the most seasoned hiker! And is another reason why we craft the treks with your particular needs in mind and you are in safe hands being led by an expert.

During your Chamonix trekking holiday you may well be able to hike for a day in Switzerland or Italy.
