It's A Wrap!
What a year! This season was undoubtedly a tale of two halves – tension and tricky decisions at the beginning, giving way to thankfulness and joy by the end.
We started our trekking season late, due to COVID and in the run-up to the summer felt the despair we all shared the previous year - that so much was out of our hands. We had to make some major decisions, one of which was to cancel the treks scheduled for early summer. And found ourselves checking and re-checking travel requirements as Governments across the globe continued to change theirs.
However, we are immensely proud to report that each and every one of our scheduled treks for the remainder of the season ran without a hitch! (see below)
2021 Trekking Statistics
We have toured Mont Blanc in every direction (and in all weathers!), taken on the heady heights of the fabulous Walkers Haute Route and enjoyed the peace and tranquillity of the Tour de Monte Rosa.
Successfully operating more than 100 trekking holidays for happy hikers, we have trekked through three countries (and across many borders) and welcomed clients into France, Italy and Switzerland by planes, trains and automobiles!
Our visitors came from across the globe – The USA, Canada, UK, Israel, Across Europe (hello to you all from Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland, France and Germany) Japan, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
Racking up more than 1000 hotel nights whilst transferring over 200 bags!
2021 COVID Statistics
I don’t think we can express how thankful and happy we are to report that although we had meticulous plans to deal with COVID-19:
WE DID NOT HAVE ONE COVID CASE - NOT EVEN A SUSPECTED COVID CASE AND DID NOT HAVE TO SUBSTITUTE ANY PART OF A TREK OR ANY OF OUR ACCOMMODATIONS DUE TO COVID.
2022 and 2023 Treks
Having run 2 seasons of treks with COVID measures in place, we are very confident in our ability to deliver the walking holiday you are dreaming of. We are already very busy and will keep you posted (as ever!) with how things are going on our blog.
