Chamonix Winter 2021

23cm of snow fell last night and all eyes are on the mountains right now…Chamonix ski lifts will be opening on December 18th this year, a welcome relief for skiers and snowboarders who couldn’t enjoy the pistes last year as all ski lifts were shut due to COVID-19.

The Chamonix hiking trails are well and truly snowed over, which means that we have already had the chance to enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

Snowshoeing in Europe 2021

Our snowshoeing tours have already started and will continue (snow dependant) until April. Snowshoeing is easy and therefore we can arrange Alpine walks for all abilities, based in either Chamonix, France or Courmayeur in Italy. All of our snow-shoe adventures are tailor-made, so they can be guided or self-guided and can start and finish according to your needs. Get in touch to find out more.

Walking Holidays Summer 2022

2022 is looking as though it will be our busiest summer ever. Clients are opting for walking holidays in the mountains as they are a smart option regarding coronavirus, due to the fact that there are only ever small groups, with the majority of the holiday spent outdoors in the fresh mountain air.

With this in mind we have some new information for you:

Tour du Mont Blanc Guided Treks

All of the dates for our guided treks on the Tour du Mont Blanc were filled by November! Therefore, we have just opened up two more guided hikes of the TMB starting the 25th July or the 6th August. We also have limited spaces available on one Westerly Tour du Mont Blanc guided tour starting the 22nd August.

Please be aware that once these are filled, we are unlikely to be able to offer further guided treks of the full Tour of Mont Blanc. This is because of the accommodation limitations on the mountains. In certain locations it's very limited and therefore once it is all booked, it’s just not possible to walk the Tour in comfort.

With this in mind, you are also able to book a hiking holiday of the TMB in 2023.

Walkers Haute Route Guided Treks

The Walkers Haute Route takes you from Chamonix to Zermatt – from the mighty Mont Blanc to the iconic Matterhorn. In several areas, the route criss-crosses the Tour du Mont Blanc, but because it’s slightly longer and slightly more difficult, the Walkers Haute Route is always quiet and rarely booked out. For trekking enthusiasts who are experienced mountain walkers we thoroughly recommend this route as it offers as much as the Tour of Mont Blanc, with unsurpassed views around every corner. To find out more about hiking the Walkers haute Route you can have a look around our website or have a read of our blogs.

Dolomites Guided Treks

Our guided hiking holiday of the Dolomites is full. However, we have checked on accommodation, and we can still offer you our self-guided walking holidays in the Dolomites at dates to suit you. We can also offer you tailor-made treks, complete with a guide just for you and your bubble.

Annapurna Guided Treks

We have 3 spaces left on our special trip to the heart of the Himalayas, to hike the Annapurna circuit. On this walking holiday you will get to the heart of the culture and people of Nepal whilst enjoying the unique and varied mountain terrain.

Self-Guided Treks

For the moment, we can offer you self-guided trekking holidays on the route of your choice and with dates of your choice. However, it’s likely that dates for the Tour du Mont Blanc will become difficult to guarantee, so please get in touch soon if you are thinking of booking a self-guided Tour of Mont Blanc.

COVID-19 and Walking Holidays in 2022

We have successfully run two summers of walking holidays following the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020. Therefore, we are confident in welcoming you in 2022. We have adapted everything we do to meet COVID guidelines and all of the partners that we work with are as responsible as us. If you have any queries regarding this, just give us a call or drop us an email.

Wishing you all the very best for the Festive Season and the New Year. See you in 2022!
