Tour du Mont Blanc 2020 - no danger to the trail
Mont Blanc Massif in the Alps is made up of 45 summits, 70 glaciers & countless valleys. The sensationalised potential Planpincieux Glacier collapse is on the Grand Jorasses mountain, on the Italian side of the Alps above the Val Ferret. A remote steep sided valley which is partially closed off in winter due to avalanche risk. This won’t affect the Tour du Mont Blanc as you trek high above the valley on the opposite ridge away from this area. No risk, no avalanche, no collapse, no flood, no danger to hikers, warning to hikers - don't believe the news!
