A great piece of positive news last weekend when President Macron announced that France's lockdown should start easing from early May and that every adult should receive at least one dose of the vaccine before the end of the summer.

Given this progress in controlling the virus, he said, "We are working hard to propose very concrete solutions, especially for US citizens who are vaccinated... with a special pass." He added that officials from the French government and the White House are "finalising the technical discussions."

This was followed by Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission, announcing that American tourists who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 will be able to visit the European Union over the summer.

We feel this is a very positive step in the right direction, more to follow... We will keep an eye on developments & post further updates over the next week which will include travel news from Switzerland & Italy.
