Today I visited the Fenetre d' Arpette to see how trail conditions are.

There are many teams out hiking in both directions.

It now seems this passage is now back to normal summer trekking conditions.

On the Trient side the trail is wet and muddy, however no problems to pass.

There is one patch of snow to pass on the Champex side, before arriving at the Col.

It is about 200m and has remained in the hollows of the gully field.

Lots of tracks in and easy to navigate through.

Only thing to take care of is the post-holes that emerge as the snow melts.

Lots of people crossing this passage now so route finding is easy.

Whichever direction you pass through, it's a spectacular day in the mountains.

Steep uphill climbing and rocky descents.

Enjoy sharing the trail with fellow trekking comrades!
